Edward Orzetti joined us in 2006 as Chief Executive Officer and President. Mr. Orzetti has a strong track record in leading successful businesses. Prior to joining us, Mr. Orzetti was employed by VWR, a $3.2 billion distributor of laboratory supplies to small and large customers in pharmaceuticals, universities and other markets, where he served as President of the Global Lab Business. A graduate of West Point, Mr. Orzetti was previously President of a $400 million division of Textron, and held various executive leadership positions over 5 years with industrial subsidiaries of General Electric.

Jacob Kotzubei serves as the Chairman of the Board of Directors.  As a Partner at Platinum Equity, he leads a team of professionals through the entire acquisition execution process, including diligence, valuation, contract negotiations and financing, as well as directs selected portfolio company divestiture activities.  He works directly with Platinum Equity Founder, Chairman & CEO, Tom Gores.  Mr. Kotzubei is a board member of many of Platinum’s portfolio companies, shares responsibility for managing Platinum’s limited partner relationships, and is a member of Platinum's Investment Committee.  Prior to joining Platinum Equity in 2002, Mr. Kotzubei was a Vice President of the High Tech Group at Goldman Sachs and was head of the East Coast Semiconductor Group.  Previously, he was a successful M&A attorney with Sullivan & Cromwell in New York City.  Mr. Kotzubei received his B.A. from Wesleyan University in 1991 and his J.D. from Columbia University School of Law in 1994.  He is a retired member of the New York State Bar.

Phil Norment is a Partner and member of Platinum Equity’s five-person Investment Committee and a senior advisor on specific operational initiatives throughout the Platinum portfolio.  He is also Platinum’s senior executive responsible for evaluating acquisition opportunities and integrating new acquisitions into the portfolio.  Prior to joining Platinum Equity in 1997, Mr. Norment served in a variety of management positions at a major software corporation.  Over the course of twelve years he worked in the areas of global support, operations, consultative services and sales support, achieving the position of Chief Operating Officer.  Mr. Norment earned a Bachelor’s degree in Economics and an MBA from the University of Massachusetts, Amherst.

Robert Wentworth is a Partner with Platinum Equity.  He participates in senior level merger and acquisition activities for Platinum.  Mr. Wentworth was previously President and Chief Executive Officer for the North American operations of Platinum portfolio company NextiraOne, where he led its formation and served as its CEO since its inception in 2001.  Prior to joining Platinum Equity in 1997, Mr. Wentworth was President and Chief Executive Officer at Alden Electronics, Inc. where he also served as the company’s Chief Financial Officer.  Previously, Mr. Wentworth served as a certified public accountant for fourteen years with Ernst & Young.  Mr. Wentworth grew up in Massachusetts and earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting at Bentley College.

Michael I. Klein is the Chief Executive Officer of Littlejohn & Co.  Mr. Klein joined Littlejohn & Co. LLC at its inception in 1996.  Prior to Littlejohn, he acquired and served as an executive officer and director of S&S Industries, a mid-size manufacturing concern. Previously, he was a senior associate at Joseph, Littlejohn & Levy, where he worked on numerous buyouts and subsequent turnaround, acquiring both financial and management experience.  Mr. Klein began his career at Sumitomo Corporation as a project manager in its transportation equipment department.  He received an M.B.A. from Harvard Business School in 1991, following a B.S. in Accounting from New York University in 1986.
